Just finnished a stretch of work in europe where I started off in Trondheim/Norway, close to my homevillage, with the debut concert of Ola Kvernberg's new orchestra "Liarbird" at the Trondheim Jazzfestival, a very diverse mixture of musicians created - with Ola's new material written for this particular lineup - a universe which felt truly fresh and unique, Im really looking forward to the follow-up concert at the Molde Jazzfestival in July. After this I flew to St Petersburg with The Thing where we had one gig at the SKIF festival, followed up by 6 gigs aroud in europe with the Dave Rempis Percussion Quartet. It was a total blast!!
Are now preparing for the upcoming US tour and new recording together with The Thing + Joe McPhee which kicks off in Milwakee on June 11th, see tourdates and more info coming up regarding this.
