Trinity was formed in 2004 by Thomas Strønen, Kjetil Møster and
Ingebrigt Håker Flaten. After a long time of talking about playing together
they finally decided to start this trio which are based in the classic trio-format
but tries to stretc the limits for what a constelation like this can do. Kjetil
Møster, a saxplayer in his mid twenties are well established on the scene
through profiled jazzbands like Zanuzzi 5 Ultralyd and The
Core, and through the famed Norwegian rockgroup King Midas. Thomas works
regularly with English reedist Iain Ballamy in "FOOD"
and in duo with Norwegian keyboardist Ståle Storløkken (Supersilent),
among other Scandinavian constellations such as Ståls
Blå led by Swedish vibraphonist Mattias Ståhl.
Trinity works in the free-improvised area with influences from the 60s freejazz
scene and contemporary European improvised music.
